In the AS-IS phase, the existing technologies, processes, organisational aspects and principles in the current financial solution are analysed and documented. This ensures that we understand the current situation and enables us to identify areas of change. The purpose of the AS-IS analysis is to obtain a fundamental but not necessarily a detailed insight into key elements and requirements for the financial solution. Workshops and interviews with stakeholders are used to identify and obtain understanding around key elements of the existing financial solution. It is important that stakeholders are involved in this process by reviewing and commenting on the findings. The delivery of this phase is an AS-IS document including relevant descriptions of the AS-IS; system diagrams, process diagrams, organisational maps, areas of competence and highlighting of areas where ‘best practice’ is lacking. |
