New international bank leads to multi-million euro savings

A new IT-based system makes it possible for Danfoss companies to make internal transactions, bypassing banks to transfer payments. Greater security is achieved along with savings of around 4 million euros each yeadr and a reduced risk of errors.

A visit to the bank can turn out to be costly. No matter whether you want to make a transfer, use your overdraft account or convert to another currency, you have to pay interest or fees.

When Australian Ethical Investment (AEI), a leading fund manager specialising in ethical and sustainable investing, realised its investment management system no longer fulfilled its business requirements, it began investigating other technology solutions available on the market. AEI had been using an international investment management system as the core system and had developed another internal system to accommodate additional reporting and valuation requirements.

Vatenfall implements SAP Treasury

As one of Sweden's largest companies, Vattenfall hardly needs any further introduction. Vattenfall has in recent years grown mainly through acquisitions and their new organisation consists of three main markets: the Nordic countries, Germany and Holland. All countries already have SAP but with differing local installations. Today there are three major platforms, as well as a couple of small ones.
